Registration March 31, 9:00pm
>>>REGISTER HERE<<<
- If the Tournament is oversold, on March 25 at 9:00pm all registrants will be drawn randomly to become an eligible player. The draw will be broadcast live on Zoom. Full eligibility will be confirmed after a registration audit is completed. Please note the draw wasn't necessary, any players who registered during the registration window are moving to the next phase and will be audited for eligibility.
- Anyone registering as a bond requires BOTH players to register and they must be in different division levels OR both be Low Comp players. Non members are welcome.

Mid-High Comp (pools H-A) OR ID-Low Comp (ID to pools M-I). If the tournament sub-committee determines you have mis-ranked yourself you (and your bond) will be removed and put to the bottom of the waitlist.
- HINT: It's a strategically decent idea if you decide to bond with someone who usually plays a different position than you on the court. Ultimately someone (or two) will be setting which might be a challenge if you have a team of middles (no offence intended 😉
Tournament Registration Includes:
- A fun day of volleyball with new and old friends
- Lots of laughs and community building

Reverse 6s 101 - TSVL Style - PLEASE NOTE RULES SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
This set of rules is often used for COED Reverse 6s but that doesn't work for TSVL. Here's what we're going to try:
- The net is set at Women's height (2.24m //7'4")
- Mid/High Comp Players
- Must start a point in the back row and may only attack from behind the 3m/10’ line (attack line). If jumping, they have to start their jump from behind the attack line. Any contact with the attack line is a sideout.
- If the back row players are within the 3m/10’ line, they cannot touch the ball above the height of the net.
- When in front of the attack line they must put the ball over the net with an upward trajectory, i.e., a forearm pass. They may not block.
- If the setter is coming from the back row they may not block or hit either
- Intermediate/Low Comp Players
- Must start a point in the front row
- Players may attack from the front or back and they may block.
- Flex Bonds - Bring dark and light shirts
Before the set begins only these pairs may choose to start in either the front or back row. They must stay in that row until the end of the set. They may choose to change positions in the next game. - There is no rotation on the court however there is a service rotation that must be followed. The serve rotation must alternate between both levels and everyone must serve.
- A block does not count as an offensive play.
- Let serves are permitted.
- No jump serves are permitted.
- One step in is allowed on serves.
- No limit to the number of serves.
- Setting over the net is permitted.
- All other standard indoor volleyball rules apply
- Ceiling touches permitted on all courts.
There will be a zoom session on April 5 from 7:00-8:00pm to review the rules and play format. It's not mandatory but it's a good idea if at least one player in each bond can attend.
TSVL is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

You must wait to receive confirmation your team will be moved to:
Stage 2: The Tournament sub-Committee will confirm your team’s eligibility in the chosen division to move to:
Stage 3: Player Registration - Feb 17-23 (Members: $57.50/player || Non-Members $69.17/player)- CLOSED
***PLAYERS REGISTER HERE***
When priority teams have been confirmed by Division, player registration will open for those teams only. Players will register and pay their own fee on their already registered team.
IMPORTANT NOTE: A MINIMUM OF 6 PLAYERS MUST BE PAID AND REGISTERED NO LATER THAN FEB 23, 9:00PM.
IF ANY TEAM IS INCOMPLETE OR THEY DON'T MEET THE COMPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
(MINIMUM OF 5 ACTIVE TSVL MEMBERS, MAXIMUM OF 2 NON-MEMBERS),
THE TEAM WILL FORFEIT THEIR SPOT AND THE NEXT TEAM ON THE WAITLIST WILL BE OFFERED THAT SPOT
BASED ON DIVISION REQUIREMENTS.
Players who are not members of TSVL will be charged an additional $10. Any players added to a roster after Feb 23 must pay the Non-Member fee ($10 more)
If registration is full for your preferred Division, choose the waitlist ticket. DO NOT CHOOSE THE OTHER DIVISION! Waitlisters will be offered spots based on timestamp and availability by division. There is no fee required to be on the waitlist until your team has been added to the tournament. If the Captain chooses the wrong division, the team will immediately be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.
- Captains will register their team and simultaneously pay for themselves. There are limited spots by division so register quickly. If the division is sold-out, choose the waitlist ticket.
- If captains choose the wrong division their registration will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.
- Captains should feel confident they have a full roster that meets the tournament criteria. Player registration will open shortly after.
- The tournament sub-committee will separately confirm if your team made it into the tournament. TeamSnap only confirms your payment has been received, NOT that you have a confirmed spot in the tournament.
- When all teams are confirmed, players will register and pay their own way on their team. This is not a race but there is a deadline. Others could pay for your registration but must indicate the correct player's name that will be on the roster.
- Don't miss the deadline or your team could lose their spot.
- If you are on the waitlist it is recommended your team stick together until after the player registration deadline has passed. The captains of waitlisted teams will be informed one way or the other, as soon as possible after the player registration deadline.
By registering and paying the fee by the February 23 9:00pm deadline, you acknowledge and agree to the following Refund Policy:
- Anyone who needs to cancel their registration must be aware that should the cancellation place the team below the requirements of the team registration (minimum of 6 players, 5 of whom are active TSVL members, and no more than two are non-members), the player's position must be replaced within 24 hours or the team risks losing their spot in the tournament and the next team on the waitlist will be invited to join. Registration fees are not transferable.
- Full refunds (less TeamSnap fees) will be processed if requested BEFORE the roster deadline of February 23 at 9:00pm.
- Refunds requested between February 23-March 3 will be subject to a $20 processing fee.
- There will be NO refunds after March 3, however the replacement player must still register.
Even more Shadenanigans after the Tournament
5:30pm - Dinner at Blake House - The shade will be flowing. Your dinner and drinks will be too. (pay your own way)
10:00pm - Post-Tournament Party - The Retro Party at Buddies continues and so do the shadenanigans. Get tickets here.

Toronto is located on traditional territories of Indigenous people dating back countless generations, whose connection to this land continues to this date. As a result of past and ongoing colonization, invaluable culture, language, and history have been destroyed. In addition, we operate freely on land that was once the territory of a people that now have been displaced to other spaces and whose rights to hunt and fish have been denied.
We acknowledge that our league operates on the traditional territories of the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe peoples, whose presence here continues to this day. In particular, the gyms we play in are located on the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit and within the boundaries of the Toronto Purchase Treaty (Treaty No 13) – a problematic “purchase” of land by the Crown from the River Credit Mississaugas and the subject of one of the largest claim settlements in Canadian history.
In recognizing that we are all treaty peoples, we will continue to acknowledge the land we operate on, but also work to uphold our treaty obligations to learn, understand, respect, and care for the land in partnership with its original stewards.
